Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Football In Florida for?
Football In Florida is designed for UK-based youth players travelling to Orlando on holiday who want to stay sharp, develop their skills, and experience a different style of coaching while in the USA. The programme provides short-term training experiences only and is not a trial, scouting opportunity, or recruitment pathway.
What age groups do you cater for?
Sessions are generally suitable for players aged 6 to 18. Specific age group placements may vary depending on availability and session type.
What type of sessions are available?
We offer drop-in training sessions, small group training (maximum 4 players), 1-to-1 private coaching (subject to availability), and friendly scrimmages (subject to availability). All sessions are arranged in advance to suit your holiday schedule.
How much does it cost?
Pricing varies depending on the type and length of session booked. Please contact us directly at USA@footballinflorida.co.uk for the full pricing structure.
How do I book a session?
To book, email USA@footballinflorida.co.uk with your travel dates, your child’s age, and preferred session type. Once availability is confirmed and payment is received, you will be introduced to the appropriate coach, a WhatsApp group including parents, the coach, and Football In Florida will be created, and a Parent Waiver and Acknowledgement Form will be emailed for signature. Bookings are only confirmed once full payment and the signed waiver have been received.
Do sessions clash with our holiday plans?
No. Sessions are flexible and designed to fit around your family’s holiday schedule. You can book a single session or multiple sessions during your stay.
What do players need to bring?
Players should bring football boots or suitable trainers, shin pads, a water bottle, appropriate training kit (including shorts, socks and shirt), and sunscreen as Florida heat can be intense. Football In Florida and associated clubs are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings ‒ make sure your travel insurance covers loss of items and equipment.
What about the weather?
Florida weather can change quickly, particularly in summer. Sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled if conditions are considered unsafe. Where possible, we will always attempt to rearrange cancelled sessions to suit your availability.
Are the coaches qualified?
Yes. All sessions are delivered by licensed coaches operating within recognised football environments in Orlando. Coaches hold appropriate qualifications and deliver sessions in line with standard safeguarding practices.
Will my child receive feedback?
Yes. Each session includes structured coach feedback highlighting strengths, development areas, and key improvement points to take home.
Will there be opportunities to play matches?
Friendly scrimmages may be arranged subject to availability. These are organised as special events and are not guaranteed as part of standard bookings.
